Contingency Search:

For positions below Director level, most clients pick the contingency search model. Most, but not all, of contingency searches are at the “individual contributor” level. The contingency search typically requires more interaction with the client’s HR department, and they have to be prepared for screening, interviewing, evaluating. The typical fee for contingency search is 20-33% of the employees first year salary (without bonus, benefits, etc. included in that calculation). In the contingency model, Achieve-it is making a “good faith” effort to send qualified candidates but is not guaranteeing delivery, because the client is not guaranteeing payment. For the contingency effort Achieve-it spends less time on initial research and job specification, depending on the client. Also, Achieve-it spends more time sourcing candidates that are actively looking for employment, as opposed to spending time researching and finding the passive candidates. We strive to present resumes within one to two weeks of receiving the job requirement, and the placement can be made relatively quickly depending on how fast the client moves candidates through the interview/offer cycle. Guarantees are usually 60-90 days.

Retained Search:

Retained searches are typically employed for Director level and above positions. Achieve -it is actively involved in both writing the job specification and making sure all client stake holders are satisfied with the job requirement and our search parameters. Since Achieve-it is retained exclusively and guaranteed payment, we utilize recruiting efforts that are strategically focused on a vast range of potential candidates, both active and passive. Achieve-it employs behavioral profiling to help determine the future success potential of candidate submittals, and we thus spend a lot of time understanding our client’s culture and environment. Achieve-it works on a flat retained fee basis which is paid in installments ending with the date of hire. This model includes a 6 month guarantee for the performance of our hire. Achieve-it typically spends 50-100 hours per month on the search effort, and our goal is to have 3-8 highly qualified candidates within 4-8 weeks of conducting the search.
